Comments from a recent visitor:
“The home is located just far enough from town to give it a secluded feel. the charming 100+ year old seaside cabin in Maine is a hidden gem. The views are simply breathtaking, offering a perfect backdrop of rugged coastline and tranquil waters. The rustic interior is cozy and full of character, making it an ideal retreat for anyone looking to unwind. The sound of waves lapping against the shore creates a serene atmosphere. There is a lot of nearby hiking trails and local attractions/shopping to provide just the right amount of adventure. A perfect blend of history and natural beauty, this cabin is a must-visit for anyone seeking peace by the sea.”
From the owners:
Our “Seascape” cottage was built in 1911 by the Gibson family. The Lee family bought it in 1969 and 4 generations of Lee's have been enjoying it ever since! Even with a past hurricane, Bob, passing directly overhead in 1991, the house has held up well over the years. While originally having two small bedrooms and one bath, the first floor was expanded to its current configuration with a lot more room in the bedrooms plus a second, much larger bath/laundry room. The views are always a peaceful contribution to all visitors and we enjoy welcoming others every year!
